OSAKA, Japan - Osaka Gov. Knock Yokoyama is surrounded by reporters in Osaka on Oct. 4 soon after effectively losing a civil lawsuit filed by a 21-year-old university student accusing him of sexual harassment during his campaign for reelection in April. The student, who worked as a campaign volunteer, is seeking 12 million yen as compensation for psychological distress. Yokoyama, 67, lost the case when his lawyer chose not to counter the charges at the first oral proceeding at the Osaka District Court.
