KAGOSHIMA, Japan - About 5,000 people, mostly Japanese Catholics, attend Mass on Oct. 11 in Kagoshima to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the arrival of Basque Jesuit missionary St. Francis Xavier in the southwestern Japan prefecture.
