CT photos of kidney disease patient before and after therapy
TOKYO, Japan - A CT photo, above, of the abdomen of a polycystic kidney disease patient before undergoing transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) shows marked enlargement of both kidneys (dark parts). The photo below, which was taken after undergoing the TAE therapy, shows a decrease in size of both kidneys. The photos were provided Oct. 23 by Yoshifumi Ubara, a doctor at Toranomon Hospital's branch clinic in Kawasaki, south of Tokyo.
