Okinawa's ancient dynasty parade held in Naha
NAHA, Japan - People dressed in costumes of the 15th century Ryukyu dynasty parade on the main street in Naha, the capital of Japan's southernmost island prefecture of Okinawa, on Oct. 31. The parade is the highlight of an annual festival celebrating the rebuilding of the Shuri Castle, the symbol of the dynasty, on the outskirts of Naha. The festival began in 1992, when the rebuilding of the castle was completed.
