Radar trouble strands students at airport
NAHA, Japan - Junior high school students headed for a school excursion are stranded at Naha airport in Okinawa Prefecture on Nov. 12 due to trouble with a radar at the U.S. military's Kadena Air Base in the prefecture. The base said workers accidentally cut a cable and that the radar would not resume functioning until Nov. 15. The fault was expected to affect a total of up to 200 flights on Nov. 12 alone.
