G-8 ministers agree to double student exchanges in 10 years
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Education Minister Hirofumi Nakasone (2nd from R) and other education ministers from the Group of Eight (G-8) major industrialized nations hold a joint news conference in Tokyo on April 2. They adopted at the end of the two-day meeting at the Tokyo National Museum the chairman's summary. They agreed to set a goal of ''doubling the rate of mobility'' for exchanges of students, teachers, researchers and education officials over the next 10 years.
