Mori emerges possible successor to Obuchi
TOKYO, Japan - Yoshiro Mori, secretary general of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and the party's No. 2 man, walks down to a room in the Diet to attend a hurriedly called meeting of party executives April 3. Mori loomed as possible successor to Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi who fell in a coma after suffering a stroke April 2.
