Prominent politicians make list of undesirable candidates
TOKYO, Japan - Members of the civic group Shimin Rentai -- Nami 21, present a list in Tokyo on May 10 of what it called ''candidates we do not want elected'' in the next general election, which is expected to be held June 25. Topping the list is former Prime Minister Noboru Takeshita, who said this month he would not run in the election, followed by Hiromu Nonaka, secretary general of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, and Shizuka Kamei, the party's top policy-maker. Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori was ranked fifth on the list.
