TOKYO, Japan - Legendary sumo grand champion Taiho (C) poses in a red ''yokozuna,'' the ceremonial rope worn by holders of the sport's highest rank, to mark his 60th birthday at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on June 8. Taiho, who won a record 32 grand sumo championships during his career, is flanked by former yokozuna Kitanoumi (L), serving as sword-bearer, and sumo elder Kokonoe, who wrestled under the name Chiyonofuji, serving as herald for the photo session.
