FUKUOKA, Japan - Men work June 21 on a ''Yamagasa'' float which will be put on display in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, for the meeting of finance ministers from the Group of Seven (G-7) in July. The 12-meter-high float will have 10 figures supported on decorated wooden frames.

The blessing of the 12-meter-tall float, which features figures from the history of Fukuoka Prefecture, was conducted at the Fukuoka City Museum, where the G-7 meeting will take place July 8, ahead of the Group of Eight (G-8) summit in Okinawa Prefecture.
