Prime Minister Mori appointed by emperor
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori bows to Emperor Akihito at the Imperial Palace July 4 as he is appointed to launch his second cabinet. Mori was reelected by parliament earlier in the day and immediately formed his new cabinet following the June 25 House of Representatives election. Mori first took the top post in April after his predecessor Keizo Obuchi collapsed due to a stroke. Obuchi died May 14. (Pool phto)
