Japanese, U.S. business leaders hold conference
TOKYO, Japan - Business leaders from Japan and the United States begin full-fledged discussions on the information, manufacturing and service industries July 10 at a hotel in Tokyo. The three-day ''37th Japan-U.S. Business Conference'' began Sunday. Among the issues under discussion are the lowering of interconnection fees charged by telecom giant Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp., a dispute over dumping charges made by U.S. steelmakers against Japanese steel manufacturers and the early creation of an environment in Japan suitable for an information technology network.
