31 dead, 29 injured in Philippine garbage landslide
MANILA, Philippines - Philippine soldiers on July 10 rescue people missing after a mountain of garbage collapsed and buried 70 to 100 shacks of people living on the garbage dump on the northern outskirts of Manila earlier in the day. At least 31 people were killed, 29 injured and scores of others missing at the Lupang Pangako (Promised Land) dump.
