U.S. military imposes Okinawa curfew, drinking limit
NAHA, Japan - U.S. soldiers are conspicuously absent from a bar in the town of Kincho near Camp Hansen as a curfew and drinking-time limit took effect from midnight July 12. The U.S. military in Okinawa Prefecture has imposed an indefinite late night curfew and a ban on after-midnight drinking by its personnel. The announcement by the U.S. Marine Corps followed a recent arrest of a Marine for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl.
