Hayami signals end in sight for zero-rate policy
TOKYO, Japan - Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Masaru Hayami, in a speech at the central bank's quarterly meeting of branch managers, signals on July 24 that the bank is close to scrapping its 17-month-old hyper-easy monetary policy, citing brighter prospects for an economic recovery and diminishing deflationary risks.
