Murdered lawyer's colleague speaks to media

TOKYO, Japan - Hisashi Okada, a former colleague of murdered lawyer Tsutsumi Sakamoto, speaks to reporters July 25 after the death sentence was given to a former AUM Shinrikyo follower found guilty of taking part in the 1989 murder of Sakamoto, his wife and small child. The former cult member, Satoru Hashimoto, was also convicted for his role in a 1994 nerve-gas attack in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, that left seven people dead.

He was among 13 people placed on death row in connection with the string of crimes perpetrated by the doomsday cult.
