Japanese research team to help restore ancient Andean temple
URAWA, Japan - A team of researchers based in Urawa, Saitama Prefecture, is planning to leave for Peru on Aug. 14 to participate in a U.N. project to restore the Kuntur Wasi Temple in northern Peru, shown in this file photo dated September 1994, provided by the researchers. The temple, located some 2,300 meters above sea level, includes important temple structures dating from 1100 B.C. to 300 B.C.
