Japan lawmaker pushes for WW II disclosure
LOS ANGELES, United States - Ko Tanaka (L), a Japanese opposition lawmaker, sits with Rabbi Cooper (C), associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, at a conference held in Los Angeles on Aug. 16. The meeting was attended by U.S. activists, politicians and former prisoners of war (POWs). ''The Japanese people have not demanded their Japanese government to clarify the facts of World War II and seem willing to move ahead to the next century without doing so,'' Tanaka said.
