Japan's Tanaka finishes sixth in women's 100-meter breaststroke
SYDNEY, Australia - Japan's triple world short course champion Masami Tanaka shakes hands with Megan Quann after finishing sixth in the women's 100-meter breaststroke final Sept. 18. The American won gold in 1 minute, 07.05 seconds. Tanaka, the world No. 2, touched the wall in 1:08.37, well outside the Japanese record of 1:07.27 she set at the national championships in April.
