S. Korean culture minister resigns over scandal
SEOUL, South Korea - South Korea's Culture and Tourism Minister Park Jie Won, who resigned from his post over an influence-peddling scandal, speaks at a news conference in Seoul on Sept. 20. Park denied being involved in the scandal and said he is ready to cooperate in any investigation as a private citizen. His replacement is Kim Han Gill, a lawmaker from the ruling Millennium Democratic Party.
