Takahashi wins Olympic women's marathon

SYDNEY, Australia - Naoko Takahashi hits the tape in the women's marathon at the Sydney Olympics on Sept. 24 to become the first Japanese woman to win an Olympic gold medal in athletics, winning the challenging 42.195-kilometer race with an Olympic best time of 2:23:14.
