Japan's Tsuboi takes helm of World Medical Association
EDINBURGH, Scotland - Eitaka Tsuboi reads an oath of office after being elected president of the World Medical Association (WMA) by 100 members from 35 national medical associations at the WMA general assembly Oct. 6 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Tsuboi became the second Japanese to head the WMA in its 52-year history. Tsuboi follows Taro Takemi, who became the first Japanese WMA president in 1965.
