Japan-China friendship marks 50th anniversary
BEIJING, China - Former Japanese Prime Minister Tomiichi Murayama (L) and China's Vice President Hu Jintao (R) attend a ceremony in Beijing on Oct. 21 commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Japan-China Friendship Association. The ceremony was attended by some 2,000 people, including Ikuo Hirayama, a well-known Japanese-style painter who is also the association's chairman.
