Police reform bill clears lower house
TOKYO, Japan - Members of the three coalition parties stand up in support of a police reform bill at a plenary session of the House of Representatives on Nov. 2. The bill cleared by the lower house is designed to strengthen the supervisory role of regional public safety commissions and make officers more responsive to public complaints.
