Acehnese gather in support of independence referendum

BANDA ACEH, Indonesia - About 20,000 Acehnese stage a mass rally Nov. 11 in the capital of Indonesia's restive Aceh Province to support a referendum on its political status. ''Referendum for Aceh! Referendum for Aceh!'' the people shouted in the mass rally and prayer that took place in front of Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, the biggest mosque in Banda Aceh.
