Poor People's World Summit opens in N.Y.
NEW YORK, United States - Makoto Yuasa (R), a Japanese helping the homeless, voices his views on Nov. 15 at the Poor People's World Summit to End Poverty which opened in New York the same day. The three-day international event, the first of its kind, was organized by the Kensington Welfare Rights Union, a Philadelphia-based organization, to promote cooperation among those fighting poverty around the world.
