95.6% support no-confidence motion: street poll
OSAKA, Japan - A street poll, conducted in a square in front of JR Takatsuki Station in Osaka Prefecture, western Japan, on Nov. 19, shows 95.6% support for a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori be submitted by the opposition camp at the House of Representatives on Nov. 20. About 230 citizens took part in the 40-minute street survey, sponsored by opposition Social Democratic Party lawmaker Kiyomi Tsujimoto. The photo shows a passerby preparing to put a red seal on either the 'confidence' (left) or 'no-confidence' (right) side of the board.
