Economic Council reflects on slow moves on IT, bubble economy
TOKYO, Dec. 18 Kyodo - Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori (L) receives a report from Shoichiro Toyoda, chairman of the Economic Council, at the prime minister's official residence in Tokyo on Dec. 18. In the report, the panel reflected on its delayed moves in dealing with major economic changes, including the information technology (IT) revolution. The panel, which advises the prime minister, compiled the report ahead of its dissolution in a government realignment next month.
