Failed brakes caused fatal train collision in Fukui

FUKUI, Japan - Workers of Keifuku Electric Railroad Co. is checking the brake rods in Fukui on Dec. 19 of a train similar to one that caused a collision Dec. 17. In the collision, which killed a driver and injured 25 others, the train failed to stop at the end of a branch line and continued on to the mainline.
