Nissan unveils new Cima luxury sedan

TOKYO, Jan. 12 Kyodo - Nissan Motor Co. President Carlos Ghosn unveils the restyled Cima luxury sedan equipped with a new safe-driving support system in Tokyo on Jan. 12. The new Cima, which has a 4.5-liter V8 gasoline engine, has a fuel consumption rate of 10 kilometers per liter. Nissan hopes to sell 1,200 of the sedans a month.

Nissan launches fuel efficient sedan in Thailand

Toyota launches redesigned Crown Majesta luxury sedan

TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. on March 26 launched its redesigned Crown Majesta luxury sedan, which boasts enhanced comfort and new safety technologies. The fifth-generation Crown Majesta, the Toyota brand's top sedan, is equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 gasoline engine and has a wheelbase 7.5 centimeters longer than the previous model, providing increased legroom for rear-seat passengers. It comes with a premium sound system that includes 20 speakers, Toyota said. The new Crown Majesta's suggested retail price starts at 6.1 million yen, up from 5.67 million yen for the previous model.

Nissan begins selling remodeled Moco E minicar

Book on Nissan's Ghosn to hit stores Sept. 10

TOKYO, Japan - A book on Nissan Motor Co. President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Carlos Ghosn, the first since the automaker achieved its goals in the three-year Nissan Revival Plan, will hit stores Sept. 10, officials of the book's publisher Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc. said on Sept. 2. In the book in Japanese, Ghosn refutes the notion that he succeeded in reviving Nissan because his status as a foreigner freed him from constraints that a Japanese would face, emphasizing he would have succeeded more if he were Japanese. Toyota releases all-new Prius

NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. President Fujio Cho stands beside the all-new Prius hybrid passenger car featuring a substantial improvement in fuel efficiency which his company launched on the Japanese market on Sept. 1.
