U.S. backs Japanese proposal to create joint economic panel
WASHINGTON, U.S. - Japanese economic minister Takeo Hiranuma and U.S. Commerce Secretary Don Evans shake hands in Washington on Jan. 26 before talks. They agreed the two countries will work together to set up a joint council to deal with bilateral economic issues.
