Softbank chief Son attends 1st meeting of U.N. finance panel
NEW YORK, United States - Masayoshi Son (R), president of leading Japanese Internet investor Softbank Corp., responds to questions from reporters at U.N. headquarters Feb. 14 after attending the first meeting of a U.N. panel charged with exploring ways to help developing countries with trade, aid, debt relief and investment. The 11-member High-Level Panel on Financing for Development was created in December to assist U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan in formulating strategies to eradicate global poverty.
