Mayor asks Mori to urge U.S. to continue sea search
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori (L) bows to Hirohisa Ishibashi (C), mayor of Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, at the prime minister's official residence on Feb. 19 before the two held talks. In the meeting, Ishibashi asked Mori to urge the United States to continue looking for nine Japanese who went missing Feb. 9 when a U.S. Navy submarine hit and sank a Japanese trawler near Hawaii.
