Handling of sonar data likely focus of Hawaii sub crash probe
HONOLULU, United States - U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) official John Hammerschmidt says in a recent interview with Kyodo News that the handling of sonar data by the crew of the U.S. submarine which hit and sank a Japanese fisheries training ship on Feb. 9 is likely to be a focal point of investigations into the accident from now on.
