Nikkei dives to 15-year low
TOKYO, Japan - A woman passes by a stock price board in Tokyo's Nihonbashi on March 1 as the Nikkei Stock Average plummeted to close at its lowest level in over 15 years despite the Bank of Japan's (BOJ) surprise rate cuts. The benchmark 225-issue Nikkei, which fell 176.32 points the previous day, dived a further 201.88 points, or 1.57%, to 12,681.66, its lowest close since November 1985.
