Yazaki exec kidnapped in Colombia

TOKYO, Japan - Officials with major Japanese auto parts maker Yazaki Corp. answer phones at its head office in Tokyo's Minato Ward March 10 after the kidnapping of Chikao Muramatsu, vice president of Yazaki's joint venture in Colombia, was reported. Muramatsu, 52, was kidnapped Feb. 22 on the outskirts of Bogota. A local radio report said the kidnappers have demanded some $8 million in ransom money for his release.
