Keio railway launches female-only train service
TOKYO, Japan - Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Chikage Ogi (2nd from L) rides in a female-only carriage in a train operated by Keio Electric Railway Co. on the night of March 27. The railway began the regular service, said the first of its kind in Japan, that night. The service is available on eight trains departing Shinjuku Station in Tokyo from 11 p.m. onward.
