OSAKA, Japan - Police officers investigating the death of Lucie Blackman come out from an Osaka condominium April 13 with boxes of evidence linked with the man suspected of killing the 21-year-old British woman in July 2000.

                  OSAKA, Japan - Police officers investigate a crime scene in Neyagawa, Osaka Prefecture, where a 27-year-old part-time employee at a Seven-Eleven convenience store was fatally stabbed in the early hours of Oct. 6 by a shoplifter he chased. Two men believed to be around 18 to 20 years old fled after they were caught shoplifting and the Seven-Eleven employee, Kenji Kamiuchi, caught up with one man, who attacked him with a knife.

                    TOKYO, Japan - Police officers examine an apartment house in Kokubunji, Tokyo, on Aug. 21 where Hidekazu Tomono, 40, of the Tachikawa Police Station of the Metropolitan Police Department, and his 32-year-old female acquaintance were found dead. Police suspect Tomono shot the woman to death with his handgun and committed suicide by shooting himself with the same gun.
