China warns it is ready to counter Japan farm import curb
BEIJING, China - Katsutoshi Matsuoka (L), senior vice minister of Japan's Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ministry, talks with Long Yongtu (R), vice minister of China's Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, in Beijing on April 13. During the meeting, Long indicated China would consider tit-for-tat retaliatory trade measures if Japan invokes an emergency curb on imports of three agricultural products from China.
