Gov't asks automakers for more low-emissions cars

TOKYO, May 8 Kyodo - Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Takeo Hiranuma (2nd from R) and Environment Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi (R) meet with Hiroshi Okuda (2nd from L), chairman of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, on May 8. They called on automakers to increase the variety of low-emissions models so the government can buy more of them.
