Mourners mark 10th anniversary of fatal Shiga train collision

OTSU, Japan - Relatives, friends and railway officials offer a silent prayer for 42 victims of 1991's fatal train collision in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture, in front of the cenotaph May 14. The 42, including five employees of SKR, a Shigaraki railway firm, were killed and 614 others were injured when an SKR train collided head-on with a West Japan Railway Co. train on the same track.

JR West not to appeal fatal train crash case to top court
