EU diplomats, Tokyo Gov. Ishihara visit Izu isles

TOKYO, Japan - Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara (L) and Swedish Ambassador to Japan Krister Kumlin (R) talk to reporters on return from a visit to the Izu islands, south of the capital, on May 30. Ishihara arranged the one-day trip for European Union diplomats in a bid to promote local tourism ahead of the summer vacation season.
