Tanaka hosts reception for foreign envoys

TOKYO, Japan - Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka (R), flanked by her husband Naoki Tanaka (2nd from L), greets guests at a reception she hosted June 1 for foreign ambassadors and acting ambassadors to Japan. The foreign minister urged the envoys to cooperate with Japan in a ''joint endeavor'' to achieve world peace and prosperity.
