Sakaguchi supports changes for overseas A-bomb victims
TOKYO, Japan - Chikara Sakaguchi, minister of health, labor and welfare, tells reporters June 15 of the government's appeal the same day of a ruling ordering financial support for overseas survivors of the 1945 atomic bombings. Sakaguchi said that the Atomic Bomb Survivors Relief Law should be revised in the wake of the Osaka District Court ordering the prefectural government to pay medical expenses of a South Korean man who was exposed to radiation in the A-bombing of Hiroshima.
