Tokyo grants Japanese citizenship to ex-Peruvian envoy

TOKYO, Japan - Victor Aritomi (file photo), brother-in-law of former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori, has been granted Japanese citizenship, government sources said July 18. Peruvian authorities issued an arrest warrant for Aritomi in June on suspicion of embezzling public money.
