Furukawa Electric, Fujikura to form power cable venture

TOKYO, Japan - Furukawa Electric Co. President Junnosuke Furukawa (L) and Fujikura Ltd. President Akira Tsujikawa shake hands at a news conference in Tokyo on July 18. The two electric cable makers announced an agreement to form a 50-50 joint venture in the underground power cable business.
