2 nabbed over smuggling of endangered parrots
NAGOYA, Japan - Photo taken Oct. 3 shows two parrots suspected of being illegally imported from the Philippines and sold in Japan by two Japanese. Hyacinth Macaws (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) are banned for commercial trade under an international conservation convention on endangered species. The parrots are being kept at a zoo in Nagoya.
