Afghan physician speaks of homeland's plight
SHIZUOKA, Japan - Reshad Kahled, a physician in Shimada, Shizuoka Prefecture, speaks of his country's plight at a gathering organized by civic groups in Shizuoka on Oct. 14. He urged Japan, as the world's No. 2 economic power, to take a pacifist stand in the U.S.-led air strikes on Afghanistan.
