Hitachi posts group net loss

TOKYO, Japan - Four officials of Hitachi Ltd. brief the media on earnings results for the fiscal first half through Sept. 30 at a news conference Oct. 30. The electrical machinery maker said it plunged into the red with a group net loss of 110.54 billion yen, a sharp reversal from a profit of 61.68 billion yen in the same period a year before.
