Okinawa asks Koizumi to help revitalize tourism industry
TOKYO, Japan - Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine (L) is in talks with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (C) at the latter's office Nov. 7, 2001 to ask for help to revitalize the tourism industry in the island prefecture following widespread travel cancellations in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States. Inamine was accompanied by Okinawa-born actress Tomi Taira (R).
